Senior Actuarial Manager, Pricing, Greater China Life & Health Munich Re Beijing Branch, part of Munich Re, the world's largest reinsurer, is seeking Pricing Actuary to join our team in Greater China. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the development and pricing of life and health business. This includes conducting technical pricing and modelling for new quotes, researching emerging risks, and collaborating closely with local and regional stakeholders.

The position is based in Beijing and reports to Assistant General Manager, Pricing, Greater China Life & Health. Company Munich Re Location Beijing , Greater China

YOUR ROLE
  • Drive and support life and health quotations while ensuring adherence to pricing and treaty standards as per MR group/regional guidelines.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Development, Underwriting, Claims, and Actuarial teams in Greater China to foster sustainable growth in life and health reinsurance business.
  • Interpret and distil business requirements, providing high-quality risk assessments and actuarial recommendations.
  • Develop, automate, and enhance actuarial pricing models and tools to ensure accuracy, maintain up-to-date assumptions, and enhance daily operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to product innovation, research, strategic initiatives, and ad-hoc projects as needed.


YOUR PROFILE
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
  • Qualified or nearing qualification (making substantial progress toward fellowship).
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in life and health insurance or reinsurance (including consulting) is preferred.
  • Possess strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset, and a keen attention to detail.
  • Collaborative, accountable, and adept at managing expectations from diverse stakeholders.
  • Willingness to learn, collaborate, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
